Well, Tanner went to the ped. card on Weds. The seizures are not related to his heart condition and he doesn't have Long QT. We got to his regular Ped. on monday. We'll get a referral for an EEG and a MRI.
I'm also going to request that his dr. tests him for mold exposure!
We've known for a while that there was mold here but the health dept. said they don't test homes to see if it's toxic or not. I think this is what could be causing everything. Yes we have informed the landlord of this problem numerous times and so have our upstairs neighbors. They've done NOTHING. The girl upstairs has missed over 25 days of school so far this yr (mostly in the last 2-3 months) due to odd illness' that the dr's cannot explain. She's had chest pain and fainting so the mom took her to the ER and then to the Cardiologist and they found NOTHING wrong. She gets these odd boil looking things that cannot be explained. Next week she's going for a blood transfusion and a bone scrape. They're going to test the bone scrapings for lyme's disease but I have a feeling they'll come back negative. The other day she fainted in school and couldn't remember her name or that her mom was her mom for about an hour!

The little boy upstairs had a seizure last friday. He's never had one before.

That does seem awfully weird that so many other people are having problems too. Have you seen the mold? Is it black and slimy? or dry?

DO you have renter's insurance? If you do, I would see if that would cover any type of testing for mold....if there is anyway your health insurance could cover even the simplest testing?

Even if your doctor would look into this?

I am so sorry that this is going on!! Can you write to the Board of health, The Governor's office, The State Senator, Your State Congressman...Have the neighbors do the same....

best wishes

Ginny

Sure sounds suspicious. I don't have any advice other than the obvious... move.

we are moving. Signed a lease on a new apartment today so we should be outta her no later than next friday!!!

I'm hoping that our health ins. will cover the human testing after that though I think the health dept. will HAVE to test the dwelling. so we'll see. I'll be gone, it's the future tenants that they swindle into renting this place that bothers me!
