Bitzer,
Don't let W.C. force you into ANY treatment or procedure you don't want or are not comfortable with. Don't let them bs you into thinking you have to have the surgery, we are NOT required to do anything (as far as treatment)that we don't want, and they will lie or try anything to make us think we are. Even the cortisone shots carry risks, and we're talking about surgery, something much more invasive than a shot. Sounds to me like they just want to try to force you to settle, and are using this tactic to scare you into doing just that! If you can't get any help from your attorney,it might not hurt to talk to another atty. Ask someone you know and trust to recommend another atty., if you don't know another one, and talk to them and discuss your options. If it were me, I'd make a face to face appt.with my atty., (forget that getting them on the phone scene) and remind him that he works for YOU, it is his job to answer your questions and get results for you. I wasn't happy with my first atty. either, I fired him and hired another one and I'm certainly glad I did. I'd had enough of getting the run around also. W. C. has tried many things to get rid of me also. This is MY body and life we're talking about here, as it is your's, don't let them try and force you into anything. I know it's so frustrating and stressful, but hang in there and don't have surgery unless it's what YOU want. God bless and you're welcome.
Mariah
