After my research I told my gyn I would not take lupron. His response : You can't believe everything you read on the internet. The worst will be hot flashes. Can you believe this guy? He treated me like I was stupid. You know, a pat on the head and leave it up to the almighty doctor.

Then he gives me a sheet with all the side effects! I just told me that its not for me. Every side effect listed I already have. Didn't seem to matter to him.
I'll wait until its bad enough, go to the ER and get surgery.

Lil e,

I can't say that I blame you. The worst is NOT ONLY hot flashes! Lupron IS your best bet to remain endo free after a hysterectomy. But, I would certainly go with outpatient surgery before I would take it again. And don't get me wrong, I don't regret the one injection it is just that I think it DID contribute to my arthritis although I will never be able to prove it! And, hey, we can read all we want to LOL! I had an Infertility Specialist tell me the same thing over 24 years ago! He told me to quit reading books and I told him...BYE! LOL I went to another specialist and she straightened me out in no time. She hated him too by the way...not because she knew him; she didn't! But when she saw my records, she flipped! She was very angry at the procedures he had done, the waste of time and money, etc.

Why do men become Gyns? Or any doc that won't listen to his patients? They don't give a damn if what they give you makes everything worse. When I go back after trying something that really messes me up he'll say "Oh I didn't know that, here try this."

I think some of them don't like informed patients.

Try to find a surgeon who does excision. See my recent post "hope."
