Hi,
I cant seem to get any help from doctors so I thought i would ask my question here. You guys seem to know more than they do.
Yesterday I had a DDAVP test. It seemed to go ok but two hours after the injection I started feeling very sick, shaking violently. Waves of coldness would wash over me yet parts of my body got really warm. Then my lips and fingers went tingly, I got weak and could not walk. Ended up in Emerg. One doctor told me I was just nervous from my hospital visit. One told me he had no clue. Thanks for making me feel better. Idiots. [sorry about the anger].
The thing is that when i went to arrange the test nobody at the hospital knew what the test was or how to administer it. They had to call around the country they said. So when I had some adverse reaction they did not know what to do.
I am wondering if anyone knows what this reaction was or why I may have had it. 18 hours later I am still weak and cold and tingly. What is up with that?
If anyone knows please please tell me I am not just hysterical. I would really appreciate it.
