Morphine Statex syrup

Someone responded to me in another thread, (I can't seem to find it) regarding titrating morphine drops up really slow.

Anyway I got some from my doctor today, (actually his suggestion you would think he had been reading my mind). A super low dosage, 1mg/ml, with instructions to start out really low 1/2 to 1ml.

I actually only took .25ml and totally amazed it actually is helping. Within 20 min my neck pain went wayyyy down!! I am totally shocked with such a low doseage. I had been out all day and was in severe pain, ( I should know better than to go shopping and lunch and doctor all in one day).

Last time I took morphine in pill form I was "deathly" sick, nausea, headache could not even think of functioning.

I have found this most interesting, you would think I would not even feel such a small dose. My nose started running and then the pain level went from a 7 to a 4, simply amazing.

Bonnie I have never heard of it before. How would it be for some one like me who is on 10mg 2 x a day do with this?

It is morphine sulphate but under a name available in Canada, Statex.

I have had such bad adverse effects from all the morphine and morphine derived drugs that the only way to try them again is in a liquid so I can take minute amounts at once.

I am not too "up" on dosages. Each person reacts so differently to the same thing!

Tiggers, it is great to hear that it is helping you. this is a good way for people that don't tolerate opiates very well to get some relief without all the SEs. Thanks for the info.

I take ms- contin and i used to have really bad reactions to it but now i can take it in any form and it still works , i have never heard of it in the form you have it good luck with it , dave
