Hi everyone! Just wanted to touch base and say hello. I hope everyone is doing well. Looks like we have all had some rough patches the last few months. Hopefully that is all over now and things will get better soon.
I have not posted for a variety of reasons. Mostly because I have not had the positive attitude I wanted to convey. I have had dizziness, severe depression and anxiety issues the past few months and have really been in a bad place mentally. I started some new meds now though and hopefully all that is behind me. We will see. The plus side is that I still do not have any TN pain since 2nd MVD last April. The downside is that they think the surgery and then the shunt placement may have caused a chemical malfunction and thus the depression and anxiety. Of course putting me on steroids to help with the dizziness may also have thrown my body out of wack. Who knows. The doc's sure don't have a definitive answer. Guess that is why it is called "practicing" medicine. LOL!:)
Good days are coming though and this will all be behind me. Boy am I looking forward to getting back to ME!
Anyway, just wanted to update you all. Keep your chins up and remember to be thankfull for all our many blessings!
Love to all,
Shelley

I was worried that we would never hear from all of our old friends when the forum stayed down so long. I'm happy that you're back, although sorry to hear what a rough patch it's been for you. Now we can all get on the case again, and send you tons of cyber support and oodles of hugs. Your advice will be so helpful, we have quite a few newbies check in here, as well as most of the old gang. Come back soon. Nancy

Hi it has been a long time since you've posted, we have all been there and know what you are going through. I hope the worst is over and things start looking up for you. Keep us informed about yourself hopefully it will be good news. I went through that this summer, it was weird, I blaimed it on mold in my house, my problems with family, I really thought I was losing it, and it was scary. I can't take antidepression pills they don't help me so trying to deal with everything that can be so overwhelming. Especially with this illness, my brain actually hurts sometimes from thinking too much
Well don't forget about us this time keep in touch

Shelley, sorry to hear about the doctors mucking about in that head of yours! I am glad the TN is better, but brutal to have one thing "fixed" and more problems arise from the solution! I hope it gets under control soon for you, it must feel like you are in another body sometimes!
Sending love your way, glad to hear from you!
Karen
