I have never been one to go with the flow and have tried many new things in the last couple of years. Just able everybody has tried falling down. Why even I have done it a few time (okay, more than a few.) I'd be running along and forget to put my foot down before the rest of my body. This usually results in a nice badge of honor wrapped around my knee, wrist, ankle, elbow, shoulder, etc. This was not unique enough for me so I took my show to the stairs. Now that is an experience... Now I like an audience so I would find my self walking down stairs to a living room full of guests or leading someone down and thump... bump... bump... bump! All that time in gymnastics did not come back to me so I would not tumble with grace, instead my feet would just keep going down while my upper body would lag behind. That is until my feet would pull my legs which happened to be attached to the rest of my body. I would finally land on the floor all sprawled out. Once I was holding my two year old and he thought it was fun and wanted to do it again. After a while that got old so my body needed to spice things up a bit. Now I like to fall going up the stairs. It feels a lot like trying to climb up a slide. You get about halfway up then... whoopee! Down you go (thump... bump... bump... bump!) It really is quite funny like an old physical comedy. Other than a few broken toes, some bumps and bruises, and the occasional hurt rib or ankle gash I have not been really hurt. If you want to try it yourself you really should master the falling down technique before moving to the falling up and ALWAYS hold on to the hand rail unless you want to get airborne. You can entertain your friends and family with your own comedy routine. It has really helped my family and friends learn to laugh again, after all I never stopped. :D
