on http://www.merriam-webster.com/ where i use to check my spelling for words, there is a line on the left side of the site called "word games". they have a different game daily and rotate the same games weekly. they are fun and challenging games to play for all you "wordy" people out there :). this is where i got sidetracked last night.

2:18a.m. makes Michelle the official Wallah of the "words within words" thread. The last time I was up that late was in my younger days when I was a rootless busker. Anyway...

jim, does that mean we can only use words beginning with ***the capital "H"?
i saw some darn talented buskers in the subway stations last time i was in nyc.:)
Jim59
05-04-2008, 06:57 PM
That's what I was thinking... But Jeannie how on earth would someone from Detroit know what a busker is? You must be a seasoned World traveler with some European experience! Not many of us know what a busker is unless you've spent time in Europe and have wandered through Heathrow Airport a time or two. Capital letters might be too hard but let's see how our night owl does. Hopefully our "night owl" will see this and try Himalayan.

I prefer mixing the letters up, rather than just dropping one or 2 off. I could've used Himalaya, for the mountain range, but that's not good enough for me. :p
I've been falling asleep lately in the evening, and when I wake up, I'm not tired. I should just stay away from the tv set. Either that or find me some of the old dilantin, and I won't be having constant trouble. I'd had this problem before my keppra was lowered in '06, and it was nice to get back into a regular sleep pattern again, until the dilantin was changed in '07.

It's good to hear that you're sleeping better Michelle. I can watch TV at night and it doesn't bother me but it ruins my wife's sleep.

oh, i've also been meaning to tell you all about this site called, http://www.freerice.com/index.php the skill level gets harder the more words you answer correctly and gives you easier words when you are getting too many wrong, PLUS it gives rice to hungry people!

That's fantastic ladies! I unfortunately was born to a family of privilege. You quickly learn to despise it as did many of my miserable young friends. We all live quite differently now. I'm a real simple home body now with my wife of 20 years. During that time the greatest travel we have done has been to travel to the Bay of Fundy for my Sister's wedding and a couple trips to New Hampshire. We're quite boring but very happy.

I drink Chai instead of coffee or regular tea. I like to add too much cream to them and that puts weight on me quickly, but a Chai with one Splenda and no cream is perfect.

ever try pet evaporated fat-free milk in a can, jim?
they also have fat free half&half now.

I tried the pet years ago and didn't like it. Have you ever tasted fat free half & half? It is the WORST tasting garbage man has ever created for himself. There are also too many carbohydrates in the "fat free" stuff. I have HBP so I really have to watch my weight and what I eat. I don't mind just splenda & Chai. I just found Tazo organic Chai in 24 packs on Amazon.com. I really like the freerice website.

"the dude" wanted us to make 3 words out of the word, but, i think his thought on the game was to give small words so it would be harder to find 3 words...we've just taken it to our own level, which i like, cause it stretches my brain. :)
