This has been driving me crazy- I have been dx with late/chronic lyme-have had for least 5 years-my ?- as bad as I hurt/feel-the odd thing is my nails/hair are seemingly very heathly-can't understand how this can be when everything else is so lousy? Have been on some vitamins-no antibiotics yet. Any one else?
Thanks

kpprhd-

I don't know about my hair being healthy and growing abnormally fast, but it seems as though my fingernails are growing outrageously fast and me being ill and feeling like absolute poop makes me wonder why other things on my body can be healthy while my overall feeling is crappy.

Usually if you will look up any and all drugs you take you may find somewhere (usually OFF-label) that it has an effect on hair and nails. I know of one drug (I don't take it but my aunt does) called Remicade and her nails grow so THICK that they will not break no matter what she does; she has to literally take scissors just to cut them shorter! She hasn't said anything about her hair growing faster but she did mention her nails being abnormally hard and healthy and also mentioned her doctor is the one that said Remicade would do it.

Hope this helps you out with your question!

Thanks for the imput, I feel the same way-if only our bodies would be healthly as well-it does seem odd though.
