Well I go Friday to pm. I have thought about all the SE from the methadone and I have come to tearms with staying on it. Money is very very short and I just have to live with the SE. I really don't want to start the pain med rollercoaster. I don't want to go thought any more than I have to. No I don't care for the SE but I have to do what I must till some how some day Hubby gets a job that has ins. He is still with the temp co. No pay for monday and tuesday last week or this week and only working 4-6 hours a day. Some how I have to put a smile on my face for PM Dr. Thanks all for your help.

Deb, good luck at the doctor appointment. I understand what you are talking about. As long as you can deal with the SE you are making a good choice. I don't like the sleepiness and weight gain from my meds but I have good pain control and I don't want to mess with it because of the SEs.

Put on a good face for the PM and I hope your DH gets a job with good insurance in a few weeks.

Deb,

You do what you have to do and what's best for you. My g/f takes Methadone and she has weighed her options. She likes the methadone because of how long lasting it is, it's inexpensive, and it's ability to take the edge off the pain for many years now, however, she doesn't take as much as her doctors would like her to take, but they understand her fears with it and all of the other RX's she's on. I hope your appointment goes well. Good luck:)

I am back. Had a good turn out. she gave me my 3 months worth of RX's and sent me on my way. She said maybe by then Hubby will have Ins. Went to reg Doc too. He gave me Benicar for my swelling. And took some blood for some more test to be done to see if he can fine out what my pain under my right breast. Also V-D 1000. So it goes on as the world turns.

Deb, sounds like the appointment went okay. It is nice your PCP is trying to deal with your swelling and I hope that it works.
