Hi,

I am new to BT but I think it is the place for me. I am as yet undiagnosed so I am not sure where I fit in. I have been suffering symptoms for the past three years and it is totally destroying my life.

symptoms include: pain in my lower back, fuzzy thinking, blood in urine, polyuria - to the tune of 6-10 liters a day. the doctors think it is diabetes insipidus. I am tired all the time, headaches, foot cramps and generally feeling awful. Which of course has lead to depression.
I have had a million tests, nothing wrong with my kidneys. Last year I was misdiagnosed with endemetreosis and was given a hysterectomy. When the pathology came back everything was normal. Now I have hormone issues as well as the stuff listed above. Sucks to be me at this particular time.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to where I may fit in?

I feel as if this is the website for me. Looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Hi Rainie, glad you found us though I am sorry you had to come here. It is a wonderful place and there are a lot of kind, caring people here. Truly I have no idea what could be the problem but there are a few places you can go to get support for many of your issues. Chronic pain, Depression, Emotional Support are all great places. Just cruise the board and pop in and introduce yourself to the members and someone will respond.

Have a great day and I hope you find some relief here.

Have you had testing for DI? http://www.diabetesinsipidus.org/diagnostictests.htm

Does your doctor say what kind of DI? There are 4 types according to this site. http://www.diabetesinsipidus.org/4_types_di.htm

You may be dehydrated if you have DI. If so, that can cause electrolyte imbalance which can cause abdominal pain and muscle cramping.

Fuzzy thinking, fatigue, depression and headaches - you may want to check out gluten sensitivity - there is a forum here on BT.

Sorry to hear about the hysterectomy.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Thank you Christina and Anne for the replies and the support. The doctor is suggesting Central DI. I am doing the dehydration test next week. My doc thinks I may have a pituitary tumor. One of the things that drives me nuts is the waiting for tests and to see my specialist. It takes months to get appointments. When I go through and read the forums I am surprised and how many individuals have had MRIs. I am not sure how it works in the states but in Canada it is nearly impossible to have one done. the wait times are insane. Sometimes years.
I guess it doesnt help that I live on a small island in the middle of nowhere. very remote and must travel a fair distance for any kind of health care. If I only knew then what I know now...lol.
Thanks again for the support and pointing me in some directions.
