I just got the results of my mamography. After having no problems for 5 years (biopsy on left side in 2002) - I now have a nodule on the right side. Or, so they think.
I have a repeat film on Monday and a possible sonogram.
The last time this happened I had lost a little weight and this is the same thing. I lost about 6 lbs. So, there's less fat there, I suspect. Also, I have a Mirena IUC to help with uterine fibroid problems. I've had the IUD for over 3 years. There's been an ovarian cyst (a side effect of the IUD, possibly). I can't remember if it can cause breast cycts.
So, the term nodule was not used in the past. Does that mean anything different? or is it just another word for an area that looks different.
