Merry Christmas

FELIZ NAVIDAD, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanaka and Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

This is the first year my kids know about Santa. Thank goodness I told them way way earlier this year, wow they took it hard. I still don't know how they managed to believe until 10 and 12 without another kid spilling the beans.

So, we did Christmas a day early. The hectic tearing and opening and squealing with delight, is overwhelming! At least the way we open here, like a bunch of cavemen or something. I try for 'orderly', but that just doesn't seem right somehow. Know what I mean?

Carmen got all the girly glamor kind of stuff, a new dress and fluffy robe were two of her favorites. I always thought clothes were a gyp! She loves it. She got her first piece of technology since we got this computer years ago, an MP3 for only $15 at ToysRUs. Or maybe it's an IPod. I have no idea. It's like the size of a pocket knife, you download music on it, it holds up to 480 songs and has ear plugs and you can record your voice on it too. She's the only kid I know with a record player. So she was overdue.

Vincent's favorites were moon sand, and two movies I knew he wanted, so what the heck, I got them both. Underdog, and the Simpsons. Having never enjoyed him sitting still for so long, think a two movie Christmas might become a tradition around here, hee hee. You guessed it, not for him so much as for ME to enjoy the stillness and quiet. Ahhhh. There was this fake surf board you plug into the tv and stand on, and do arcade type surfing...know what I mean? Anyhow, I'm eager to see how that will go, looks like a blast. We didn't set it up yet, I'm guessing tomorrow we will. The other thing he wanted and got was called an Eyeclops, like a microscope sort of only way cooler.

I didn't cook anything, we had left overs, that was my gift to myself. My gift to dh mr. ocd anal man, was keeping every speck of torn wrapping and ribbons and bows was picked up off the carpet.

Best of all, tomorrow I pick up two guinea pigs we are going to foster for roughly 2 months. The kids went totally nuts when they found out tonight.
