Hi everyone
It's great to be back and to catch up with everyone. I've been doing great since I started driving again. I think I posted that before the "Big Crash". My energy seems to be back just about 100%. My headaches are few and far between (Thank God!). I was so glad when the neuroopthamologist told me that I regained some vision in my lower left field and I wasn't imagining it. I'm happy that we could be back here to share and support each other. It just feels like "home". Talk to you all soon! Thanks John and your team for all of your hard work.
:) Tracy

My previous screen name was Jontu
I discovered this site a little over a year ago. I was living in Bigfork Montana and recently moved back home to mountains of North Carolina for the Fall. I guess this site has gone through a metamorphis to bring us back together. Prior to that I was'nt aware of the online support for brain surgery pats. I had an SAH ( bleeding in the brain ) from a thumbsize annie.....about 22 years ago. I was 21 and had just bought a new Fiat. I was driving down an island on the outer banks of NC when I suddenly woke up....by the paramedic.
They put me in jail thinking I was drunk ...after sewing up my face and bracing my neck after the accident.
I knew I was'nt drunk..but my peers and dad were rightfully sceptical at that point in my life....I was working in an engineers office about two weeks later when I lost my speach ....I knew something was up. I contacted a neuroseurgion after speach returned after about 10 minutes. He performed an arteriogram which I believe has another name these days. He and several other NS found the leaking thumbsize annie. He needed to go in immediately and I'm so glad I had no time to think about it..that was a blessing.
recovery was tough in the early 2-3 years with getting motor functions back. after about 5 years I could finally talk about it. maybe god every once and a while. I'm so glad you all are back..hope everyone else shows up.
from that point I have to pull back my hair to show the recessed scar to prove it to people. Married a great wife have a 3 & 5 year old and "Life Is Good "....but what a long strange trip its been.
Love yall
John

Wow John, that is quite a story! I can't believe they arrested you! I visited your website - those houses are amazing!! Did you design them? I went to the Outer Banks for the first time last July and absolutely loved it. My friends and I stayed in Corolla in a beautiful house named "Skipjack". We are all going back next year! I hope you don't have bad memories of the Outer Banks now, it truly is a wonderful place. Keep in touch.
