Hi,
Thank you so much for your story. My mom is a little pistol(all 95 pounds of her), I am hoping and praying for her recovery. It is just so hard to see her this way. She is moving about, but the only day she opened her eyes was on Thursday. I just keep praying that she will wake up and get to have her life back without too many obstacles. I know the road ahead is a long one. The Drs. don't like to give too much hope and that is hard, they say this is a step better, but she has a bad injury and most don't survive.
How long did it take for your aunt to wake up? Waiting is the worst.

This is Wildcats wife. Judy didn't go into a coma. But there was a few days to where she didn't open her eyes. But would talk. When she was turning around to the better she did sleep for a few days. They gave Judy High dose of steroids that is what save her. Surgery was not a option for her. Let me see if I can remember how many days it was. She had the stroke Tuesday they called the family in on Friday. Then they have new Dr's to come in and said they are going to try high dose of steroids. When the 15 hour mark came around she was still with us. Sat still here. Sat night did a new Cat scan and told us the bleeding had subsided. That was good news. Sunday was when they told us she had a chance. She was in ICU for 8 days then went to a step down she was there for 2 weeks then she went to rehab for 2 months. Then home and more rehab. She is doing really well to look at her you wouldn't know she had a stroke. it will be a year in March.

I was told the longer they hang on the better the out come. But like Greg said keep the prayers going don't stop. That is what saved Judy.
