I am 43 years old. I have Spina bifida that never really affected me until I was about 37 years old. My spinal cord tethered in 2001, 2002, and again in 2003. The 2003 surgery left with no feeling or control in my bowel and bladder. My right part of my thigh is also numb. I can walk still. So I am very blessed you could say that I have what I have left that does work. However, I have several other conditions that contribute to my disabilty. Nueropathy on my entire right side of my body from head to toe. Actually both feet. Essential Tremors. It is taking me forever to type this, but at least I can one finger type. Chronic Myofacial pain syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Diabetes type 2, Depression, Anxiety/Panic Attacks, Migraines and I am on 12 different medications that make it very difficult to think and remember things. I hope to meet a lot of nice people who have similiar situations and would like to talk a bit.

Hi Murphy & welcome to BT! Wow you do have alot of health issues to deal with.....glad you are able to walk. I know I'm grateful I can cause it's about the only exercise I get these days! I also have type 2 diabetes & suffer from depression. Probably have fibro also but who knows,I just hurt!I'm only active on some of the forums here, mostly try to gain knowledge, provide support & receive same.

Hope you'll join our little gang on emotional support...thread is "what are the little things" we try to come up with positives in our lives everyday! Also we enjoy sharing our pet stories on the pet therapy forum.

You'll find friends here I'm sure....later Buttons
