Hi all, feeling a bit off today. I haven't spoken to my mother since last Tuesday so today I will write a letter. Easier for me to say what I need to say. My little guy is feeling a bit better today. His new asthma med is working better than the unfresh stuff. It said on the scrip on the front of the box to dispose of it after one year but the date on the med itself said 07/08 so that is what I was going by. Who knows. My Christmas decor is up and we are slowly working on a gingerbread house. I have decided not to be such a perfectionist and instead of doing it after little man goes to bed I am letting him help. Hopefully tomorrow the BF will put up the outdoor decor.

Well i hope you all have a well day.

I managed to mail most of our Christmas cards, letters, photos, today and my next task is to cut open the button holes, sew on buttons and wrap the Christmas pajamas I made for two of the youngest grandchildren.

My neighbor had a Christmas party last night and had all these green branches from the bottom of her tree, plus some holly and mistletoe left over. It is on my front porch so I hope to do some decorating today. My husband will take the older grandchildren to the mountains to cut a tree at farms there, for our house. It is an annual tradition.

Hope everyone is getting ready for the holiday without stressing out. Cheerio.

I'm sorry about our friend getting the *boot :( I suggested that he go to "The Other Place".

Glad your little guy is doing better -- hopefully, the newer meds will take care of that.

It sounds like fun having him help you with the decorations. Kids love doing things like that -- it makes them feel part of everything that's going on.

You know how to do gingerbread houses  I'm jealous :p I've seen some nice ones on the covers of the various women's magazines in the grocery stores. They're really pretty. I imagine if you were doing them with kids too -- that would make it even more fun.

Take good care of yourself. And have fun with your little one. BIG HUGS.

Barb, thanks for the thoughts. As for the gingerbread houses I am excellent...... at copying the picture on the box LOL. This one is a little harder and won't be as pretty. They didn't include the frosting tips so I will attempt to use my own.

Christina, glad you are in the holiday spirit! And staying away from your mom seems like a very wise choice for the time being anyway. I've never made a gingerbread house.....

Glad to hear little guy is doing well on new meds too.

gingerbread house challenged, here....

dealing with many issues here also...but at least i know i am worrying about family and not rushing around to stores to find my holy-day spirit.

is it too idealistic of me to want a tree even though i have 2 rambunctious dogs? that is the question of the week...cause i would like to get a tree this tuesday or wednesday.

glad somethings are working out for you, christina.

one day at a time, one victory at a time.

blessings.
