Yes! Today I get to go home! I'm very excited. So much so I'm pooped already. LOL And I don't have to take any more Nimodipin. I'm done. Took my last two at 6:00 this morning.

I'll probably be visiting the message board quite a bit during my recovery at home. I have no idea how I'll begin to deal with this when i get home, but know it's going to be very emotional and that I can't push too hard.

Thanks again
Heidi

Hey there Heidi
This is great news, I know you will feel a lot better surrounded by your own things.

As you said, make sure you don't push too hard - it is easy to do, you feel like you can cope with more than you can and you end up paying a nasty price for it.

Make sure you eat lots of healthy food, and get tons of rest - your body has a lot of adjustments to make.

Take care and I am sure you will be around a fair bit for a while (I mean around on the board - don't take that the wrong way  ).

Cheers

Lyn :)

Great news!!!!!!!

You sound like your on the right track regarding taking it easy when you get home. I remembered what it felt like when they told me I could go home I was so excited that I wore myself out before I even got home.

AWESOME!!! Good for you Heidi, just please don't push yourself too much ok? Do you have someone to help you out when you get home? Cooking , cleaning, Laundry etc will all be a bit overwhelming at first so enlist some friends and family to pitch in.. don't say no! make sure you get lots of rest and relaxation hun, you will find that you tire easily so listen to your body!

Best wishes and we will see ya around the board!

hugs

Yeah:D your home and no more horse pills!!...one of the times I was in the hospital there was a national shortage of Nimodipine....big problem....there was lots of drama over it. I had to take these other pills that made my bloodpressure drop too much, it was aweful. Blessings on going home and your recovery. Rest, rest, rest!

Yes, I TRIED to not pack up too early and quickly at the hospital. I think I did pretty good though. The nurses and staff were so wonderful wishing me well. They knew I so wanted to go home and that I was doing very well.

I didn't get as emotional upon arriving home as I expected. I did tear up a few times, but tried not to let it get to me.

However, I'm now a little "nervous" being at home for the first night and not being in the care of the nurses. I know that's silly because I haven't had any problems, but it hits me NOW! LOL Oh, well.

Yes, I have a fantastic boyfriend who was with me every day at the hospital during my three week stay. Amazingly supportive and he went grocery shopping for me today, is feeding the cats..however, I may have to direct him on laundry though. LOL It's downstairs in the basement and I was told not to do stairs yet.

I'm pooped, but so happy to be home.

:D That is great hun!! Please take it very easy!! You shouldn't be doing anything for a while!! Try not to bend over & no lifting!!!! Let everyone else to everything for you!!! You need LOTS of rest, sleep & water. It is going to take all the meds you have been on in the hospital to get out of your system. you may even feel a little strange sometimes as they do wear off. I called my Dr. eveytime I had a question! Please just rest and don't worry about cleaning... You should continue to have someone stay with you and take care of you for a couple or few weeks!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!! Sounds like you are off to a good start! You will get wore out very quickly for a while!! Just taking a shower use to wear me out at first. :p Take care sweetie and welcome home!! Tricia
