I Have Ataxic Cp And Am Transitiong From Rolling Walker To Wheelchair (probably Next Month) As Primary Mode Of Mobility. My Walker Has Been My Primary Mode For Getting Around Since 2002, But Because Of Visual Problems (low Vision) And My Constant Bumping Into Things And Subsequently Falling, It Has Been Now Deemed Safer For Me To Sitand Roll Most Of The Time(especially Outside). How Do I Get Some Sort Of Mobilty Training For Moving Around Outside In A Manual Chair With Vision Problems? I Am Aprehensive About The Transition Although Using A Wheelchair Inside (at Work Primarily) Jhas Helped A Great Deal . I Can See Better When My Brain Is Not Overloaded With Trying To Balance, Walk And See At The Same Time As I Now Have A Peripheral Vision Loss, Nystagmus (mostly When Tired) And Visual Acuity Of 20/120 Most Days. Any Comments Will Be Greatly Appreciated. :

In the UK you'd get help either from a voluntary agency who does Orientation and Mobility, or Rehab. Officers via Social Services - don't know which country you're from?
