This has to be one of the worse cases of abuse. No words can even describe it.

my heart sank !!! :( because these poor "autistic" children depend on their eyes to make sense of the world, as i noticed of my son and of others, they do look like lost in their own worlds, but they are not, they notice everything around, they don't speak, they are rocking but their eyes are darting quickly here and there, now that child is more helpless than ever. what a sad story !

Sounds like the aunt is mentally deranged. Let's hope transplants are an option. I think I would probably kill someone if they did that to my child.

Oh boy I can't even begin to read this....Too upsetting, the person behind it needs to go to a mental institution. :(

It's so horrendous, I can't get my head around it. I just keep thinking 'what in the world was/is that poor boy thinking, feeling'.

This is so sad, even after the stabber left, the grandmother didn't call the ambulance, just left him overnight?

Apparently Grandma didn't want the aunt getting in trouble. Let's hope they lock her up too.

I read this yesterday and it truly made me sick to my stomach, then I had nightmares about it last night. There is a picture of this boy at one of the news sites and it just broke my heart. He's alone in the dark now.

The aunt is pretty obviously mentally ill, once you start ranting about the devil and stabbing people (and yourself) in the eyes - that's sort of classic schizophrenia. However, the grandmother leaving him to bleed alone for hours is criminal.

God only knows what ways that experience will effect him for the rest of his life (emotionally I mean). How could anyone on earth, who survives an attack like that, get through life with the PTS they will endure? What I mean is, how do you ever stop living that moment, it was so extreme, I feel so bad for him. Thank God he has sight from one eye at least, was not left completely blind, was not killed. But part of him was killed even so, ya know? I hope somehow, having asd turns out to help him through the healing instead of making it even harder, if that's possible.
