Good morning all. Here it is beautiful out. There is about 2 inches of snow on the ground, and everything else, and my little one is thrilled and is out playing in it now despite not having any boots yet. An oversight I guess on our part, usually we don't get this much snow until later so I had planned for this weekend to get them, oops! That is okay, they will dry and he is having a blast so that is what I care most about. I though my little Pom would have a problem with the snow since his delicate disposition finds rain unfavorable  but boy he hit that door and went racing around the yard like a spaz. Quite comical. He is a spitz breed so it is in his nature but sometimes he just acts like he is too good and dainty for the tall grass and a bit of damp weather.

Today we will be going to my mother's for dinner. She of course is still laid up but ordered a premade dinner from Kroger so all I have to do is help warm it up and get stuff ready. They aren't the same as homemade but are halfway decent.

Today I woke with no migraine though I do have that lingering ache and pressure so that is a first this week. I must have slept funny because my knee that I had surgery on hurts kind of bad but nothing I can't handle. I will try to take it easy today and not overdo it because I would like it to be my first holiday where I wasn't a spaz about trying to get my contribution to dinner done, then get to my mother's to help, then worry about getting to the Bf's mother's house, oddly enough I have not heard from her, and then back to my mom's for dinner, then help with clean up and get back home and try to calm down after the mentally and physically exhausting day. Almost takes all the fun out of it. Still trying to figure out how to do Christmas as my mom can't go shopping. We will offer to do it for her but she is considering giving money rather than gifts or gift cards because she knows that there are those in the family that have needs and with a gift card you are limited.

Well I will go for now and say a quick hi to others here. I wish you all a wonderful and safe weekend.

*thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Christina,

Your boy sounds like he's really having a blast out there, and it sounds like his joy is infectious to you... that is great.

I hope you and all your family have a great - and relaxing time.
i hope you will stick to your plan about not overdoing it.
I wish your mom especially an uplifting evening, I know she needs it.

((( hugs )))

Oh how lovely. I wish I had seen this earlier. Well come to think of it, I was too busy from the get go this morning. And if son and DIL had not come early, we might still be waiting for the casseoles to finish, lol.

I hope everyone did not do too much like I did. I have not hurt this much in a long time. And just had that sick feeling from hurting so much. But I made it and it is all over with for now. I think it is not to early to start with the Christmas thinking and planning myself. The older I get, the slower I get so it takes much longer to get things done.

It was beautiful here as well. We had a high 77 yesterday or the day before. But when I stuck my head out to finish saying GoodBye today, I noticed it was a lot cooler. It is 43 degrees now and I had turned the heat down as I was vaccuming and all and I'm downright cold now!

I made a quick decison to take all the clean towel etc. from the couch in the den and put on my bed. They are still there on the bed but I think I'll try out that empty couch with a cover for a time and get all warm. It sounds very inviting to me right now.

Guess I'd best check on hubby first. He has a broke ankle and he might be hungry. I can't imagine but he might be. I haven't worked in so long that I forget that sonme have a long weekend ahead of them still. If so, enjoy it. Be safe & be around to enjoy more years of celebrating holidays and sharing with others.

happy thanksgiving christina!

just got everything put away and have a break before my tv shows come on.

i saw some snow down here in deeetroit, mostly a little bit in the corners of houses where the chimney starts. you are in the snowbelt, so you have to be prepared for snow anytime.

my dalmatian used to LOVE the first snow. she hated the rain too and would walk around a puddle of water, but, that first snow and she would be digging her head in it and throwing it up in the air and running around in circles so fast she would skid when she stopped. i miss her when i remember the good times.

i am glad your thanksgiving will be a bit less hectic today and that your mom will be able to share in the holiday spirit a little bit.

i will be venturing out on "black friday" for the first time tomorrow morning. i will see if it's as fun or hectic as they say. i haven't seen too many tv ads for specials, but the newspaper was full of ads today and will be on sunday again!

giving thanks for all i have,
jeannie
