Gina, I hope you were fortunate enough to have it done by route of your belly button?? Not me, I have a big ole "zipper" on my belly!!! Mine was to far gone they couldn't do it the easy way!! :(

Cindy,

Sorry I must have missed the posting about the gall bladder surgery. Happy to hear you are on the mend though.
Other than the gall bladder surgery what else is been going on? Don't see much posting by you.

I had my gallbladder out over 10 years ago. I couldn't lay flat for a few days...had to sleep in the recliner, but other than that, it wasn't too bad. I am glad things went well, and I hope you feel better now that the offending organ is gone. Be prewarned though, your body will still produce gall and without the gallbladder, it won't have anywhere to store it. Greasy foods like pizza will still cause phantom gallbladder pain...even more than 10 years later. I actually prefer vegetable pizza now because of that.

Hi all,

Things are very slowing getting back to normal. Today I was able to get dressed (with help, which I really do not like to ask for:mad: )I also heled my sister do some cooking and I managed to get some homework done.

All in all a good dayI am still having trouble with walking because I use my tummy muscles to help balance but my PT said to give it some time. It is still very frusterating.

Lacy-Thanks for the advice, I gennerally do not eat a whole lot of greasy foods anyway. They caused so much pain I just learned to avoid them:)

Jennifer- I have been very busy with school and dealing with my stupid gallbladder. I had to go to 3 different docs before I foud one that could take it out without mess up pump. It was a real chore. How is Drew doing with is pump? Good I hope. I would love an update when you can.

Hi Cindy, oh man what a pain! I didn't realize that you were having your gall bladder surgery either. I don't know if they told you that low fat diet is probably better at least at first after the surgery. Good luck sweetie, PS Nick has a baclofen pump too and his runs a mixture of baclofen and spinal anaesthesia! xoxoDonna

Cindy, I'm so glad to read everything went alright with the surgery. Gulbladder pain is nothing to mess around with. :( When I discovered mine had to come out I was out one night eating pizza, when I got home that night I was doubled over with pain, OMG...I heard that pain is even more worse then being in labor pain!!! They did emergency surgery on me, but mine was to far gone that they had to take it out the old fashioned way by cutting me open. It took months for me to recuperate but to this day I can honestly say I feel a heck of alot better then I did!! :) I'm so glad your sister is there with you to help you out!!
