Anybody on Lorazapam?

I was just wondering if Lorazapam 2mg 4 times a day sounds like a good dosage. My doctor dosen't want to up the medication anymore than that, but I still suffer from anxiety. Is anyone on a higher dosage? Or can you recomend a good anti-anxiety drug. Thanks.:rolleyes: :confused:

I've taken most of the benzodiazepam family at one time or another (Diagnosed GAD). You are taking the strongest pill, but if you still need to do something about your anxiety, you still need to. Are you doing all the other things you should for anxiety? Anxiety itself makes it extra hard to do the exercise and exercises you need.
Don't stop taking lorazepam abrubtly. Also, if you have taken the prescribed dose for awhile and your anxiety gets worse even when you are doing all the physical and psychological aids as well, tell your doctor to check you for tolerance - maybe at some point you want to taper off it while simultaneously tapering on to another (perhaps non benzodiazepam) drug(s).
