I received the short form CDR Oct.6,2007, when I was up for renewal in june.
I filled out the form and mailed it approx. 10/26.
Today I rec'd a letter from SSD stating --
"We sent you a letter telling you that we were going to review your disability case. However, we do not need to review your case at this time. Therefore, we will not contact your doctor now. We will keep any information that you have given us. We will contact you later if we need to review your case."
The top of the letter has numbers:
00013398 01MB 0.360 T001,1108,CDR,PC5,RI
Two questions:
1) What will happen to the CDR I sent in?
2) When will I be up for renewal again?
thanks for everything,lisa

You heard back from them in less than three weeks?? :o
I sent the short form in 5 months ago and still haven't heard anything!
I hope that's not a bad omen.

If by "short form" you mean the two-page 6 question mailer......that mailing is NOT a CDR. It is a tool for SSA to prioritize how they will spend dollars and hours in doing FULL reviews.
You have been deferred.......put to the bottom of the workpile.
Unless you work (and come up on their radar when the wages are reported...), you will likely not get these types of mailings again until your next scheduled timeframe. Many of us are on a three-year calendar....
Was this the first time since approval that you get mailings regarding CDR?
Take the deferral as a gift and relax!!

Can Relate---Yes, this was the 1st time since Approval that i got any correspondence (approved june 2004) regarding CDR.....
So, can I assume i won't have any more correspondence regarding a review for 3years?
thanks,Lisa

Sounds like you are on the 3-year calendar...medical improvement possible (MIP). So yes, 3 or so years (because of backlogs) is when you might expect to see again.
If you work for ANY level of wages, you would likely get papers to fill out about your working......that is probably the only alteration to my statement above....
