Just wondering, are there no chatrooms anymore...? haven't been around in a while, so perhaps I'm missing something

Chat is in need of updates, and hasn't been working well lately. Mike Weins put a temporary chat on his website.

You will need to register on http://www.thunder65.com/btchat/index.php to use it.

Once registered, just click on the login link at the top of the window, and sign on. Feel free to bookmark his site, until the updates are done on BT.

Hey John, Where are you? We desperately need your help in getting the chat rooms back up and working.

We are losing many of our regular chatters and certainly aren't getting any new ones. :(

Mike Weins has been kind enough to set up a temporary chat room for us but many people can't seem to find it. :confused:

I was hoping that John would find the time over the Thanksgiving holidays to do the updates or whatever it takes to get things going again for us.

If anyone sees John Lester anywhere please take him by the hand and take him to the Hasty Pastry building. I think he has lost his way. ;) Just kidding John. LOL :o

It's such a shame to see the BT chatrooms still unusable, but there's nothing we can do except to wait and see. I just hope people will come back when John does get them working again. Thanks to Mike for setting up the temporary chatroom. :)

with the temp website that Mike has formed, still very sad that there's never anyone in there whenever I check. I too could use someone to chat with right now. I've given the temp address to all chat friends I had emails for, plus it's posted here in forums, what more can we do?

Hi Corky. I know what you mean about nobody using the tempt. chats. It's easy to get to and I'm not understanding why nobody much use the rooms.

I did happen by earlier and low_tide was in there so we chated. We were in there about an hour and a half. I just hope more will stop by. I would go back and talk to you, but I am on my way to bed. Gotta go to Dr. in the morning and that always kills me.

Hello to all of you. I have talked to Jo6, Corky, kelly, Pamster, Rolston & I think CM1. I can't understand why more ppl don't try more often. I check it several times a day. It's on here now, CM5 put it on. If anyone sees this why not come in. It's simple to register & you register using your same name that you use in BrainTalk (for eamp. I used lor). I hope ppl read this

Sad to see that the chatroom isn't functioning. People get used to having things around and once they have been gone for awhile people find other means of keeping in touch.

Hope things workout for those of you who enjoy the chatroom. It once was fun for me too but things change, people change, attitudes change and life goes on.

Hope that the powers that be will find a solution for those of you who still find comfort in the chatroom. Those days are long gone for me. I once had friends in thier but last I was in there was a noticable change in tone in the conversation.

Trust all who want a functioning chatroom will have one with all thier friends to talk with once again.

Mister, many of us cut our teeth in the Classic Chats/MGH. I don't know you by your name, but prehaps we knew each other in the chats.

I understand what you mean, I walk in and every body hush what they are saying and then drop like fly's until The FlashChat is updated works and I see more people going there. I hardly know anybody unless they tell me what their name was from back then. I think I was using Jo6 for the chats and Izzy for the forums.

Yes, people change, they leave and new ones come and all of us oldies are still here hunting people to talk with. i've learned a lot since those early days. I draw on the strength I gathered back then. my MIL has Alzheimers and i am having a hard time doing as I should. My own health is worse, but I can still hunt and peck enough to "talk to people".

If you don't have the URL for Mikes Chats it is posted on this thread. I invite you to join me and lets get to know who is who, ok? Some people think I am crazy for spending time in BrainTalk. Well, maybe I am but I am doing what I can do to help others as they have and are still hepling me.

How bout Mister? Chances are we probably know many of the others, they just changed their name. I've gotten a few years older:D but otherwise I am still Jo. you take care Mister, post and let us know how you are, ok?

The chat rooms I had setup were offline for awhile due to my host (a friend in the Army) was over seas and missed the billing cycle. They are now back online and working fine.

You will have to register there because they are not attached to this forum.

Just fill out the first 3 boxes in the registration form and you should be good to go :)

Mike has told people how to get there and yet no one ever comes why is that? Do people not want to talk any more.That is what I belive..I check that room all the time and yet find no one whats up with that?

Maybe if we had a thread where we could post before going into chat...Like I'm there right now. Or set up certain time for chat just get people aware that there is a chatroom. I know one chatroom I go to has a set chat every Thursday at 7pm est.
Just some suggestions. I hope it will pick up.
