If a pregnant woman is found to have breast cancer, and it is to be remembered that age and not the pregnancy is the decisive factor. The tumors occurring in pregnant women are no different than the tumors occurring in other young women. But as the age of the patient is higher the chances of the growth also becomes more. If the tumor is found early, and has grown to a bigger size, the patient may actually respond better to chemotherapy because of the rapid turnover of the tumor cells.
