I'm so glad to have found this site! I'm waiting further testing on aneurism/s found from MRI from migraine, then a week later I wrecked, and CT showed another area in question. My question is: this strange sensation in my temples ever since my odd headache that lead to the MRI in the first place. I feel it coming, it spreads over my temple area, almost like its numb but inflating pressing against my scalp. Sometimes I feel the area harden. Sometimes it lasts a while, sometimes just a minute or two. There is a pain somewhere in my head either before or after this happens. Hubby says its just tension headache and the temple muscle. I don't think so. This is a new feeling that only started the end of Sept. when I may have had a bleed, and one unruptured aneurism was confirmed. Any comments on this odd feeling would really be appreciated.---suzyq

S,
Headaches associated with bleeds are normally extremely severe and nothing like you describe. It's often described as the worst hammering pain headache ever. I'm not suggesting you ignore your odd feeling but it does not sound like a SAH headache.

I agree , it does not sound like a SAH , but a lot of us had some pretty wierd unexplained things happen to us that led to finding our aneurysums & this could be one of those unexplainable things , for me & alot of others it was MS type symptoms so almost anything is possiable . Make sure you tell your Dr. about it ,your knowing that you have an aneurysm does put you under a lot of stress & stress can cause a lot of weird symptoms so your husband may have a point to hun ,but have it checked out .Take care .

I will tell you from my experience that an SAH bleed will give you "the headache of your life". I've had tension headaches and migraines and I had discribed this one to the 911 dispatcher and the EMTs "The headache of my life" not knowing it was indicated as such everywhere on the internet. I had taken excedrin for it and within a few minutes I had started getting a stiff neck...painful when turning my head from left to right. What prompted me to call 911 was a "head-to-toe" body sweat. By the time the ambulance came I was vomiting.
Could you be super-stressing from the MRI results?
Call your doctors office and ask to speak to a nurse. Tell him/her about your concerns and follow instructions if given. *bunch

Hi and Welcome SuzyQ,
I'd definately ask your doctor, but it does sound like it's from tension. Let's face it, the stituation your in is pretty stressful. My annies were found after I had a MRA due to facial drooping. The two ended up to be unrelated. Who knows how long they were sitting there. It was hard for me to believe there was no connection at first. I'd start a list of questions for your doctor.

*bunch I am so sorry you are having to go throught this hun! We will all be here to help you get through this!! I am glad you are going for further testing! Do you know when? Are they doing a angiogram next?? That is the test that will show everything the best. My name is Tricia and I am now 47, 2 years post rupture. We have all been through the testing... I know this is a lot to think about and take in hun! Remember we are all survivors and understand. Everyone's aneurysm's are different but, I still have severe temple pains when my headaches are bad. Esp. my left temple!
I would call your Dr. Does he have you on anything for pain or blood thinners?? A second opinion never hurts!! You could have brain swelling from the wreck and it is making it hard for the rupture to show like me?? I would call an ambulance if you have any other strange symptoms or it gets worst hun!! It is so much better to be safe than sorry!! Trauma like a wreck can cause one to rupture!! That is how mine ruptured. Yours could have been bulging, causing the headaches and the wreck made it bleed? Swelling stops the bleeding sometimes. Getting the right treatment as soon as possible is the most important thing!!
I started getting blurred vision, coordination and cognitive problems, nausia... as time went by before my treatment! I had a ruptured aneurysm next to my left optical artery 2 years ago. I had no warnings. I went to the ER 3 times and had 2 MRI's and a CT with contrast before they saw the Anuerysm good. I did not pass out but, I did have very bad pain in my temples, headache, got light sensitivity, stiff neck... as the days went on. Luckily the swelling stop my bleed! I then found a very good surgeon, at a great hopsital for my surgeries. He did and angiorram, showed the Aneurysm and the rupture and he scheduled surgery. I had mine stented and coiled successfully. Unfortunately since it took them so long to figure it out and get treated, I have a little longer recovery time.
I didn't give up, I kept. going back to the hopsital until I got help!! Long story, anyway I switched hospital's and Dr's and they saved my life!! :D
Don't do any straining or lifting until after your testing. Try to take it easy and not bend over... too much. Just to be safe. ;) Did your doctors tell you anything?
I will be keeping you in my prayers hun! Please feel free to ask all the questions you want. We will help as much as we can, we are not Dr's, so can only share our own experiances. Please don't hesitate to seek help before the test if you feel anything different or get anymore symptoms!
Take care and please keep us posted or share more of your story. Tricia
*cg20 God bless you hun, I will keep you in my prayers!!

I can only repeat what others have said. My SAH headache was excruciating pain like I've never felt before and it came on in seconds. I would definitely get it checked out though.
