Again I need ya help!!! S.O.S.

ZS somebody....A friend gifted me last week with a Phillips Video Camera for PC...Well am still running the windows ME o/s...and 2 boxes of tissues, please...Well we couldn't get it to work as it states no video capture hardware...Can someone please help...What does that mean? The box states it is compatible w/windows ME...


She wants me to be able to see and be seen by the cute Italian am chatting with...Wink...LOL...

You need a special video card with the proper software installed. Even with that you may not be be able to use it with Windows ME. If It's that important to you why not purchase an up to date computer along with a new video camera. The prices on all those components have really come down since you got a computer with ME. I don't think you have any choice. Dell offers in home set up as an option with the purchase of a new computer for around $120. Sounds like that's what you may need to get up and running with a video component to see your cute Italian!! Good luck.

No need to buy a new computer...at least not yet ;) Can you tell me what computer you have (make and model)? Should be on a sticker on the back of the computer tower.

With that info I can look around and see if there's a cheap and simple solution, or no solution.

On my own I found that it's most likely not possible to use the camera with the computer. However I have put in a few requests on various forums and with a buddy that still works with HP to see if I can get a concrete answer.

Well my friend Sandi that gifted me with the camera had a friend visit her and wonders apon wonders they got the camera to work...It was a missing file in this computer active X I think...
