Enforced sobriety!!

Just to let you lovely guys know that your words of encouragement have got through and I haven't had a glass of wine in a few days. Funny thing is that today my PCP said I should go back on the Cymbalta and give it another try.

This is a double edged sword for me as it affected my kidneys last time but he thinks that may have been because I had a slight infection too. Good thing is that I KNOW I can't drink with this medication. Tried that once at my niece's wedding last year and was violently ill. God/doctors work if wonderous ways SOMETIMES!!!!!

Pauline, you are right about wondrous ways. I hope the Cymbalta works this time as it can give you good pain relief and keep you from drinking. Just remember if Cymbalta doesn't work there are other meds to try like Lyrica and others.

I think this may be a very good thing for you. Hopefully the new med works and as Mark said it can always be adjusted if need be.
