Hello everyone!
I have enjoyed the support of this site for a few months & have finally decided to post to share my emotional 1 year annieversary today from my ruptured brain annie. (right internal carotid artery behind my right eye). My doctor coiled it with 8 coils a year ago. My 6mo follow up angio showed that it is growing, I don't know how that happens, but I hope to get another follow up angio soon. I wish you all the very best! It really feels like a special community here, I read feelings & thoughts from you that I can relate to & that is hard to get across to people who have never experienced this crazy condition. Keep the faith!

Congrats! I wish I was one year post op. The surgery for mu unruptured aneurysm is coming up in 9 days and I find myself getting more and more emotional and more and more confused. I am totally depending on this site for my support.

Again, congrats. What a milestone!

:D That is awesome! I am one year post surgeries Oct. 21 myself!! I had a rupture. What did the Dr's say about it growing?? I put off my 1 year check up until after the holidays!! I had one in april. I know I need to get it checked again, just been a rough year for me having a rupture!! Mine is behind my left eye, next to the optical artery & comm. arteries. :o I hope you are doing well, please get that yours checked out & repaired!! You don't want a rupture!! Please keep us posted!! This is a great site! I learned so much here! There is some good research on the top if you click on the red sun in the top right corner of them ain page!! A lot of us are on BrainPeople because this site was down for a long time. One of the guys made a new site for those if us who had each others private e-mails or phone numbers. Both sites are great support!! We are all going throught he same thing!! It is nice to be able to talk to others going through the same thing!;) Happy "Annie"versary!! Take care & keep us posted, I will keep you in my prayers!! Tricia / FirelfyR7:cool:

Congrats on your annie-versay!

I too had an coiled annie that was growning and had additional coils and stent placement done two years after for original coiling. The second time was easy not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was in on a Tuesday morning and out Wednesday afternoon. I didn't have any problems with headaches afterwards. Dawn

Thank you for all the well wishes & sweet thoughts. I am grateful to everyone who shares their experiences here too! It has been a huge comfort to me! I am waiting for my new interventional radiology doctors' call to schedule my 1 year post rupture angio. I was sad to hear that my orig. doctor (the one that saved my life) left my area & my case was reassigned. At my 6mo follow up angio my orig. doctor requested to see me back in 6mos (this month) to check again because my coiled aneurysm had grown; but this new doctor had his assistant leave a message for me saying he wants me to come back in April 2007 instead. 6more months without checking. I told them about my new symptom, pain behind my left eye (1 centimeter aneurysm is behind my right eye) & reminded them of my original doctors' concern. Anyway, I'm waiting for his call so I can plead my case of "insisting" on getting my 1year check up. I'm feeling a little uneasy about this doctor already & I havnt met him yet. I will keep you posted of the results. wishing you all the best in life! Everyone keep the faith!

I had an annie coiled in my middle cerebral artery and it continued to grow also. Mine was so giant that they went back in and clipped it. My best wishes that yours can just have additional coils put in. Keep a good eye on it though. My blessings for your recovery:)
