I went to my normal visit with my pain Doc and the door was lock and she was gone . I can’t find any trace her yet. She has all my records for the last 3 years or so. I have almost no meds left. I have been on Benzos (xanax, klonopin, valium, they would switch every once in a while.) for 6 years, not to mention 100 duragesic and 4x 30 mg roxicodone. I am trying to get into a pain clinic today but I just don’t know. Everyone wants my records. I do have a pharmacy print out and copies of all the mri's, not the reports just the film.
Thanks

Anthoney,
What a nightmare for any pain patient! I hope everything works out fine for you. Just curious, are you sure she is gone for good?...When you call her number, is there any message for patients?
Best wishes,
Kim

That is a nightmare! I hope the films and pharmacy records are enough. A new doc should at the very least agree to fill your rxs for one month so you aren't in pain or withdrawal while it gets sorted out. My pain doc told me once that it was a law in FL to be treated for that one month.
I had a doctor die one time, but he had a partner. I assume from the locked door your doctor worked alone?? One thing that popped in my head was the DEA. Since they can come down hard one a doctor for being willng to treat pain patients, is there any chance it is temporary while she works something like that out?
I hope no matter what the cause that you find a solution. Please keep us posted.

Maybe she is sick. But you would think they would have called to let you know she wouldn't be in. Wow I really don't know what to say. You may need to go to you GP? Can they give you your meds? I hope you find out some thing in a hurry.

My PCP had to quit suddenly but other doctors covered for him and then three offered to take his patients for us to choose from so it is a real surprise there is no message when you call or note on the door. I hope you get everything worked out especially here in the short term.

That is very scary. Hopefully the reports you have will be OK for now and the new pain doc will take care of you.

Wow I'm shocked to hear something like this. I would call the office number and see what kind of recording you get. Also it shouldn't be hard to prove that the office isn't open and you should be able to find a doctor who will treat you in the meantime. Good Luck!!
