I hope i do not offend with my Please pray, but I have been around this forum for a long time, even though my user name changes. Basicially, my friend, who is diabetic has gangrene in his right foot and possibly both legs and the VA will do exploritoy surgery in the morning. ther is a chance he may come out of surgery with no legs ( a significant chance) and he is high risk due to diabetes and may not come thru. Please, pray for his highest and greatest good.
thank you

Alex....
You and your friend are now on my prayer list. Your strength will come from a higher source. Keep the faith and your trust in the lord will pull you through.

Alex, I will add this veteran to my prayers as I hope he comes out of the surgery all right with minimal damage from the gangrene but with the strength to deal with whatever comes from it.

Alex,

I too will keep you and your friend in my prayers. You're a very good friend to have posted and ask for support and prayers. Take care of yourself.

I imagine they are doing the surgery as I write this. Please let us know the outcome.

Thank You all for your kinf=d responses - Update - he was on the table for 6 hours, he still has both his limbs as well as other things, yes the gangrene is that bad, he is in ICU with an infection and that is all we know. he did respond to his nephew, which surprized the doc,s since he would not respond to the docs. Please, keep the prayers coming.
God Bless

Alex, at least there is good new for now. I will keep him in my prayers so that more good news will come from the doctor's efforts.

Hi Alex,
Can you give us your friends first name or initials to be used in prayer? Thanks, Diandra

Hi All - His first name is Gary = more then that i can not give out - he has had a foot amputated already and they are trying to get infection under control. Then they want to take some more, how much I am not sure yet but he is a strong man one tour in Korea and 2 in Vietnam. Thank you for all your prayers, I hope he will come home but ....

For all your prayers. He had to have one foot amputated and a arterial bypass on the other leg but it looks good for him keeping the other leg. I hope I did not sound dramatic but evidently they got to him just in time so thank you for all your prayers. Thank you and god bless all of you. Hopefully he will be home soon.
