Matt got casted today two weeks following his botox. PT didn't compare the numbers to see how well the botox worked but he still needed the casting so the numbers obviously weren't significantly different. He got a camoflauge cast. He's been ill (cough/fever) so I kept him home today after the casting. yesterday was a holiday anyway. Went in to pick up his work and got last weeks tests...1/26 on a geography quiz and 2/10 and 3/10 in math. ugh. his spelling is great and reading is decent but...discouraging but he's working hard and supposedly is okay. Makes me worry about twin. his teacher NEVER tells any grades to parents and I KNOW he is way behind in schoolwork so grades can't be all that awesome...

anyway, gotta run to help them.

Camo cast, sounds cool

Does he wear an AFO? Or is the casting all that they do between botox?

I hope the grades are better than it sounds like.

Thanks Denae, sorry I've been quiet with you lately. still in my heart, just not so chatty I guesss.

He always wears an AFO. This was his first botox round. With his changed diagnosis, I was expecting both legs to be casted since both had botox. Then AFOs for both but PT seems reluctant with new dx and is still only treating the right side. Will likely challenge that next week but one cast at a time is really enough, especially having a bad cold on top of it.

While you aren't Canadian, we live at the edge of Toronto which is the capital city of our province and not far from Ottawa which is the capital of the country. On the test, Matt named the capital of our country as ..****ssia!! go figure where that one came from! I didn't know if I should laugh or cry. Anyway, I thought he was smart etc (typical really) and doing well. this has completely thrown me. teacher seems to think he is bright and picks it up quickly so should do fine. She just thinks it was never taught to him before. Thing is, it has! anyway, I'll be calm til late November...

hugs back at ya!
