[I][FONT="Book Antiqua"]I Have Had PN For a very long time & I take several meds Like we all do. I would like to ask if any one has this problem.I wake up several times at night with terrable stinging all over my body & very hot. I have to get up & try to walk then move around . then I go back to bed & go back to sleep. For ladies it Is like having really bad hot flashes. My mornings are the same. My body stings all, over. I grab my cup of water & take the oxycontin & Lyrica & try to move a little. I try to have a cup of coffee . then I take 2 Percocet 10 / 325 The whole process takes about 1 hour before I am able to function. Then It starts to ease up. That Is the way every day Is.
Of course the pain never goes away,The Pain meds just Takes the edge off. If anyone has this same problem please tell me. I am 74 & have had PN since 1991. Thank you !!! God Bless & Wishing All Less Pain

yes Joannamarie, when I wake up in the morning its like a shock that i start hurting right away or probably was hurting in my sleep. I take my med cympalta, oxycontin and moriphine and have some tea till they work to take the edge off otherwise I dont think I could even cope with waking up.

Until I got the right dosage of Lyrica, my story was the same for 6 years.
I could hardly make it from the bedroom to the kitchen to take my
a.m. pills (11 of them).
When I switched to Lyrica and when finally the proper combination and dosages were found out (thru the agony of trial and error), I now wake in the a.m. without that 'need' to get to my meds right away. I'm in better shape now, mentally - and have more energy. My pain levels went down from 7-9 to 2-4.
Maybe you haven't found the right 'mix' yet.
