Hi to all the "old timers" on this site. I haven't been around for a while and when I did try to get back on, the site was down. Glad to see it's up and running.
Daniel is 20 now and lots of changes in his life....probably why some of his tics seem to be getting worse! I'll get to that another time....don't want to bore people who don't know me or Daniel!
Wondering if anyone's read that book "End Facial Tics Now" by Steve Driskoll?? I just saw the site posted here when I came on to check the Tourette's thread. Any good reason I should read this?
Anyone still out there who I know??
Lynee
G'day Lynee, good to see you again.
I saw that ad posted on the site yesterday and checked it out. I can't give you any good reasons to buy the book, but I probably can give you many good reasons not to buy it. Put it this way, I wouldn't. Someone else might.
Here's just one of them...
I am selling this Ebook, over 26 pages of tremendous information, for only $39.97. If your child's tics do NOT completely stop after 14 days, I will give you all of your money back without any questions asked. . If you'd like to end your child's tics right now, you can use the button below to use your credit card or pay with palpal. bold added by me.
14 days??? Wow.
I figure if there was a way to stop tics in 14 days that was as simple as that then he should have made a fortune by now in medicine.
Our children are sure growing up. My son is heading to 20 as well. Daughter almost 18. Time flies. You won't bore anyone if you want to talk about your son or ask questions or give any suggestions. That's what we're all here for.
take care there,
Lara

Hi Lynee (and Lara),
I wouldn't buy it. I've found most self-published books (especially e-books) to be inferior products. If a publisher won't buy it, it's probably not based on good science and probably not even a good read. (Sorry to any budding authors out there...just my personal opinion.)
My Luke is 21 now, with lots of life changes too. Tics are dramatically worse at our house too, after a few years of relative quiet. I've fretted alot about it, and got to thinking - is it any wonder? Second to puberty, this is probably the most stressful time in his life. The transition to adulthood is hard enough without adding TS to the mix. This parenting thing just isn't getting any easier at our house!
Glad you are here to share the ride.
Cheryl
