Last night dh was on the phone with MIL. Me, trying to be nice (a true rarity) told him tell her she should come see the outfit I made Katie.
So I'm thinking he'd say Micky made Katie an outfit next time you come you can see it. NOOOOO he goes and says, Micky wants you to come see the outfit she made for Katie!!!!!! ARGH!!! What's the difference you may ask. COME ON GUYS!!! You know how I feel about her!! The difference is. I was just trying to be nice and make pseudo conversation. (albeit through DH!! I have no desire to talk TO her) The difference is, she thinks I actually WANT her to come, so she is coming TODAY, specifically to see the outfit and DH will not even be here!!! Just me here dealing with her and having to talk to her!! ARGH!!
Serious ya'll my conversations with her go something like... "yes. no. not really. I don't know." That's it. I have tried over the years, but it just don't work!! She's SOOO difficult. I told DH I would LOVE to have a MIL that I love. Someone to actually be motherly to me, cause I $@#^ sure ain't got that with my own mom (that's another vent.. that I am debating on posting. I think it'ss take too long to get out!)
Anyhoo. So now, I have to spend all morning cleaning and getting a shower. This house smells like.... well let's just say.. 2 kids in diapers, you can probably figure it out!!

Hi J&K Mom, I'm from the other epilepsy room. I came in to have a look. Thats a shame what hubby did. As I read I had to chuckle. Remember "The Jeffersons"? They were a black couple who "moved on up to the east side" ~~ I thought of Louise as I read, lol. I saw it this morn & Louis doesn't like her MIL. MIL thought she was going on cruise with George & Louise'
Good Luck with everything
Your kids are cute

(((Hugs))) As much as my MIL bugs me, Mr. Kay knows better than to pull something like that. Of course, it helps that she lives across the country and we don't see her as often.
Meanwhile, I'm cleaning the house for the dishwasher repairman. (Can't you tell?;)) Turns out our dishwasher was recalled! They've had a few housefires from them. Anyway, after today, I won't have to plug in the dishwasher to run it and unplug it afterwards. Just need to clear the floor a little better so he has room to do some work....

Kathy, I got the recall letter too. Mine wasn't on the list though. BUT it is broken and has been for a couple years. It just sits there while I wash the dishes by hand... bad dishwasher, bad!!
I forget what's wrong with it. It doesn't drain and I don't think it gets hot. I'm not sure though. Last time I tried to run it my kitchen floor was about an inch deep in water.
MIL- came and went. Wasn't painful at all. But, NO WAY is it the start of anything!! :) :) It better be the freaking end of dh doing that.

Glad you survived. MILs are bad enough but StepMIL's maybe worse. My SMIL's repeated advice about getting a diagnosis for Rachel is "write to Dr. Phil or Oprah, they have connections..." :p

The dishwasher repairman came and went. When he first got it put back together, it didn't run... no lights, no nothing. Turns out he broke the doorlock sensor (machine won't run unless the door is shut and locked). I guess this is a common problem when doing this recall work. He had a bunch of sensors out in the truck to replace it with.
But... he told me about the first dishwasher he did this recall repair work on. It took him much longer to do since it was his first and he had to read the directions. After it was all put back together, it didn't run. He spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong, only to have the owner fess up that it wasn't running before he took it apart.:p
Glad you survived your visit. Less than a month until our visit! Mr. Kay's brother is getting married. The girls are in the wedding and excited about it. I'm not sure if the added stress will make things better or worse this visit.
Mary... have you written yet? With that kind of attitude, it makes me wonder how many requests Dr. Phil, Oprah and others get for this type thing?
