I've been having headaches for the majority of my life, they became more severe when I was 15-16(I'm 23 now) I went to the doctor had all the tests and all they could tell me was it was stress. After that I didn't try anymore I felt that if they didn't take me seriously I'd deal with it on my own and I have more or less untill the past several months. The headaches seemed to change becoming more severe then ever and then I started having tingling in my feet, occasional tremors in my hands, and falling down or stumbling around. I figured it was time to go see someone else. This doctor actually was concerned and immediatly sent me for an MRI. That was last week and today he called to tell me I had a cyst or cyst like thing on the third ventricle in my brain and that he was refering me to a neurologist. Thats basically all I know at this point I'm waiting for the appointment to be set up and hopfully I'll know more then. But now that I know there is something I'm both relieved and scared to death. I'm relieved cause now I (hopfully) know whats wrong with me but scared cause treatment could be a wide variety of things. I've been researching it all evening and was glad when I stumbled upon this site. I now know I'm not the only one dealing with this and that there are those that appear to have it more seriously than I do. But in the end I'm still scared to death. Any suggestions as to the best way to deal?
Hi zeezapp, I'm sorry that someone did not notice this sooner. Yes, it would scare me as well. But it is a good thing that they did the mri and found the cyst. The only thing that I can do is just say that I have been in similiar situations several times and always worked myself into a frenzy with worry. Thankfully it has always turned out to be something that was easily taken care of! So try not to ask for more trouble than necessary as your cysts may be just that, harmless cysts that doctors can take care of easily. I know this is hard to do but try and stay as calm about it as possible. And keep sharing with us here and voicing your concerns. Let us know what they decide to do and the results.
Years ago I too was having headaches. My doctor just kept stalling saying it could be- tmj - etc. but not doing anything but saying what it could be. It got so bad that it interfered with my driving IF I had to drive in an emergency. I was staying home when I had headche otherwise. But when I had to drive once to help husband, I drove into a ditch because I was so distracted by headache. That next day I had to tell doctor, I don't care what is causing them, you need to give me something to deal with them! And he did and it helped. I never knew just what was causing them and thankfully they stopped later on. after reading lots I decided myself that they were most like cluster headaches. I seldom have one these days but I am on pain meds for another health issue. Don't care, I just am happy that I don't have those dreaded headaches.

I did hear from the Dr. and I have an appointment next week with the Neurologist (actually they are gonna try to fit me in sometime tomorrow). So now I'm just waiting till then to find out more. Thanks so much Joy your concern means alot to me.
