me trying to organize that gynormous thread into a condensed summary of events over the whole year...followed by Vincent's 5 previous years, of not receiving FAPE?

A list of the top 10 things, worse than filing Due Process:

1. Eating a placenta.

(ok, 9 more answers needed)

Mili....I'm afraid of that thread!

Intially, probably pages 1-4ish I was paying attention to, then I was not so active with Audrey & all...when I ever saw the number of replies it made me scared to say the very least....so as much as I wish I knew what it was all about and could give you an answer right now, I may be too out of the loop to be helpfl.

BUUUUUUUT, having said that I'm a pretty organized person. So maybe I can give you some ideas on how to tackle it???

Do I understand this correctly that you are wanting to organize 6 years worth of events and don't know where to start. Or are you fine, and just procrastinating and complaining?

And that's not to mean that you don't have reason to be put off by the task...just wanted to know if you need help or not.

omg these are great...AKF, lololol!

Kristen, I was only going to tackle the past year in any detail, since I have to be able to prove what I say. So far I printed the gynormous thread which is 2" thick printed. I was going to go through it all, highlight the POINT in blue and the EXPLANATION in yellow - so at least I'm not starting from scratch. I am however, finding a host of ways to procrastinate...what the real problem is, it's too hard to relive it like I do, when I read it. I'm pretty good at detaching, but can't seem to when I start reading, so yes totally procrastinating big time. My goal was to finish by October, I will try and work on it tonight when the kids are in bed, then take an ambien to knock out and avoid those memories. But you know, if you want to tackle that 50 page thread in your spare time between bon bon eating and soap opera watching, feel free to post the summary tonight :D (kidding).

These 'things to do even worse than Due Process' are awesome, ROFL - I can't believe I forgot about the poop mustache, lol JW. They're all great.

We want more, we want more.....

Mili,

I've had to do summaries before, and even used my posts, so I know EXACTLY what you mean by reliving it!!!!

Here's my first suggestion.

Start out away from the thread, just make a list of what you think are important points or facts in chronological order. Then pull out all the 'back-up' you might have. Drs summaries, posts, e-mails to family...whatever you have.

Then go back and fill in...but only use the 'back-up' as a reference. Don't try to summarize it from there. Of course you are bound to come across something you forgot about, and in that respect you can add.

This way you might be a bit more successful at removing yourself from the emotion of it all.

Good Luck!

I swear if I had the time, I'd WOULD so do that for you...I know how much that $hit can hurt....

Awwww you're so sweet! You gave me an idea, I'll give it a shot tonight, try and pretend I'm writing it for someone else maybe. My memory sometimes is really screwed up with what came first, next...I mean in this case so much happened! So I'm kind of stuck rereading the thread. I just have to do it. I just have to remember, it could not possibly be harder for me to DO IT, than to have the regret of not even trying when I could have. I came to realize as a young person, and it still holds true now, that I never really can't get over what others do to me, my hang up is always what I didn't do, or didn't say, it's not about them it's about me. I can't change not handling things the way I wish I would have last year (effectively) but I know other moms and kids will be in my position also, so what I can do is bring what happened to those that can handle this effectively, weather they choose to or not, that I can't do anything about.

It's not like I'm too emotionally spent right now, time isn't even the factor with the kids in school. So, yep, just got to focus on getting it done, and the realization that even if it does nothing, I won't look back and feel the regret of not even trying to better things, and tell Vincent's story for him, be his 'words' for him. He deserves that much.

Ok, well somehow, now I feel ready. Tonight it is then...I did manage to buy the highlighters at least.

I know exactly what you are saying...I get so rip roaring mad about all that Coley has been through and AT the docs that ignored us or made things worse...I have a hard time letting go to...how can you when you are looking at a child that could be SO much better had they just listened...or depending on your perspective, had I been better about getting them to listen.

So I've vowed to never let another child withing ear, or monitor shot relive what we've been through!!!!

In my former life a coworker once told me something that echos in my head often:

"Hind-sight is useless."

You can't go back, so what's the point of it. Stop beating yourself up!!!! Sure learn from it, but you can only do the best you can with what you've got to work with.

Good luck!!!

10 waking up and finding a huge tomato bug in your hand. You throw the bug and run from your bed.... only to slip and fall into a huge heep of dog diarreah left from your pup who ate 12 pounds of choclate you were supposed to sell. (the choclate that is, not the pup)

OMG the crayfish, I remember that!

I think this forum is seriously ready for that David Letterman top 10 thing, ours would be so much better (I visualize vomiting chain reaction in the audience).

Keg, holy cow what a little gymnast you are, or is that gymnasty, hee hee hee. What a picture! At least when you hold pick up a tomato worm, it actually is one....last time I did that it was my mucus plug. No wonder it was so transleuscent, and didn't walk away.

Somehow, it seems appropriate to link my boy's observations to this thread...

It wasn't enough to announce that the outhouses had blown over. Leave it to Nate to say the contents were spilling out. Someone needs to tell him that sh*t doesn't flow upwards.

OMG Vince will HAVE TO watch that with the weather and all. Nate must have some amazing stories to tell! What an experience, I'm not even ready to be alone with 39 other adults - unless they're you guys here. I could just see myself, slowly roasting on a spit over the fire with duct tape, over the apple, in my mouth.
