minner:

Can you describe more about the pain, what area of your neck, do you hear or feel grinding, is the pain "soreness" or is it sharp pain?

What position do you sleep in......on stomach, on back, on side....?

Specific information like this will give people a better picture of what you are asking.... and maybe we will be able to suggest what you might do it....

When you lay down make sure that your pillow does not tip your head forward. One of the most important things is to keep your chin off your chest.
A soft collar worn while sleeping helps to do this.

I would start w/your pillow. Sleep on your back or side, not your stomach. The other advice can't hurt either.
