Wow, yeah, that did creep up fast!
So, what did you all do to celebrate... did she get any presents she really liked?

I sent little bags of party favors to school, since her teacher said they were making cake in kitchen today- Allie got to choose what kind! I think I may have caused a problem- Allie had a bad morning- I think because she was excited about the treats she brought and didn't want to wait until the end of the day.

Allie wanted McDs for dinner (ick) so that's what we had. She got an ice cream cake- she never eats cake (not a loyal subject of Marie Antoinette), so we stick with the ice cream. Her favorite gift was a Lorax DVD. Her old Lorax is long broken...I think we're having a Lorax week! The planetarium we got her is already broken. She also likes the little plastic animals her sister got for her.

You mean seuss' lorax? I'm surprised you found that on DVD... I had a really hard time finding 'sneetches' and I thought most of those old seuss things were out of production. What great songs in those!

Yes, it recently came out on dvd- but no Sneetches. They have this Pontiful Pock thing instead. I loved the Sneetches- probably more than the Lorax- I get tired of that hairy little thing nagging all the time, but love the songs and I think Dr. Seuss was such a genius!

But the writer of those songs too, Wow... because they totally had to get into the mindset of seuss, and I don't think those lyrics were seuss', I think he passed away before those were produced? Not sure, but the way they work together was so ahead of its time, it rivals disney with elton john soundtrack.

I was SO into sneetches I had the kids put on a little play in class I volunteered at carter's school a couple years back. It was sooo cute. I want to find that script and do it again this year.

Seuss was heavily involved in the production of The Grinch (not the Jim Carey one), Horten Hears a Who and the Lorax. Not sure @ Sneetches- but it has that same feel to it. I would love to see you kids production of Sneetches! But, yeah, I don't know who did the music. What I love about the Lorax is that you never see the onceler- he's a faceless corporation. That is perfect.
