Hee hee, what a cutie. I'd love for him to switch places with the president for a while (um, like until the next election for sure).

Thanks everyone
Sorry Pamster, I misinterpreted your question here, and so sent you a dopey message. He was chosen.
The filming took place in April, and started airing last week. He'll have at least some shots in each episode, and will be heavily featured in one.

Crap!
Pogue I forgot your nephews name...I'm watching the show now for the first time...after seeing you post about...and want to make sure I'm rooting for the right kiddo...so came here to check and you've already removed the link...
You know I'm going to have to watch this every week now, so can you remind me of his name...

I'll send a pm with his info to anyone interested, so I don't have to keep posting and deleting links. Last night, he was the one who announced that the outhouses had tipped over and were spilling their contents, and stood up to tell Taylor, "People are tired of hearing 'deal with it' all the time!"
I think there will be some drama involving him next week, when religion rears its ugly head.

OMG! What an awesome kid! Are you SURE he's only 11? Did someone help him with that questionaire...seriously...or is he THAT intellectual at 11?
This made my jaw drop:
Is power a good thing?
Power can be good or bad depending on how it is used, but since political power may be abused it should be limited
ZOINKS!
He DOES need to switch with Bush, and maybe not temporarily! Let us know if he ever runs! He's already got my vote!

Thank you very much. He is indeed off-the-charts gifted, as are most of the others from the program. If you watch the previous episodes on the CBS website (or youtube), you'll be equally impressed with all the other children who are highlighted. Even the ones with obvious "issues" are clearly ahead of themselves intellectually.
The profile answers were from a live interview, portions of which are contained in one of the online video clips. He did not see the questions beforehand, or have any time to prep. However, the effects of "contamination" from an extreme right-wing home environment are readily apparent. That is not my fault.

Ok, that's funny and I don't even know what right-wing is.
Was it on last night (Wed), Kid Nation? Cause I could not find it, and actually remembered and wanted to see it. Grrr.

Here you go Mili...
In politics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics), right-wing, the political right, and the right are terms used in the spectrum of Left-Right Politics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-Right_Politics), and much like the opposite appellation of Left-wing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing), it has a broad variety of definitions: the same name can, in politics, sometimes mean different things. However, it is generally used to refer to the segments of the political spectrum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_spectrum) often associated with any of several strains of conservatism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservatism), monarchism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchism), right-libertarianism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right-libertarianism), reactionism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactionary), traditionalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditionalism), royalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royalist), some forms of populism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Populism), the Religious Right (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_Right), nationalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationalism), militarism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Militarism), producerism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Producerism), nativism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nativism), realism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realism_%28international_relations%29) or simply the opposite of left-wing politics (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left-wing_politics).
The term originates from the French Revolution (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_Revolution), when liberal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal) deputies from the Third Estate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Estate) generally sat to the left of the president's chair, a habit which began in the Estates General (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_States-General) of 1789. The nobility, members of the Second Estate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Estate), generally sat to the right. In the successive legislative assemblies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legislative_Assembly_%28France%29), monarchists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchism) who supported the Ancien Régime (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancien_R%C3%A9gime) were commonly referred to as rightists because they sat on the right side. It is still the tradition in the French National Assembly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_National_Assembly) for the representatives to be seated left-to-right (relative to the Assembly president) according to their political alignment.
As this original reference became obsolete, the meaning of the term has changed as appropriate to the spectrum of ideas and stances being compared, and the point of view of the speaker. In recent times, the term almost always includes some forms of conservatism.
Some consider the political Right to include those forms of liberalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism) that emphasize the free market (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_market) more than egalitarianism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Egalitarianism) in wealth, but some free-market advocates, including some libertarians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarians), conceive of a two-dimensional political spectrum that they say more accurately portrays their political position. [1] (http://www.la-articles.org.uk/pc.htm) (See Nolan chart (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nolan_chart), Pournelle Chart (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pournelle_Chart), Political Compass (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_Compass)). Many anarchists (including libertarian socialists (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarian_socialism)) also avoid placing themselves on the classic political spectrum.

I wasn't going to dare to try to define this for you myself...I swear the definitions change with every election (both sides)! But hope that helps some.

OMG, the definition is worse than I imagined! I suppose I should have asked if right winged is like Archie Bunker, or unlike Archie Bunker.
Hey, in that definition it says 'political spectrum'...sounds like something all politicians need therapy for, being on the political spectrum, hee hee.
Maybe if they were helped with being on the political spectrum, there'd be no wars, money would be used to help the hungry, for medical care, etc etc...
Oh, so Pogue, am I a right or left wing or what?

LOL Mili! I don't know that we've discussed politics and philosophies much, but I suspect your views tend to lay left of center, as do mine.
To oversimplify, lefties tend to vote democratic, righties repub.
