Hi Erica,
Dr. Lazareff is a pediatrics Neurosurgeon , but at UCLa they have an incredible Adult Hydro Clinic, MARVIN BERGSNEIDER, M.D. Associate Professor, Division of Neurosurgery runs it and I saw him at the Hydro Convention.Seems very impressive and knowledgeable
Here is some info…..

Boy the New Hospital at UCLA is un-beliveable i hear it will have everything digital, it looks huge, and they are going to have the newsest of the new high-tech equipment. You're lucky to go to such a great hospital ;)

Thanks dear!!! I actually perused their docs last night nad wondered about the doc you mentioned! I am curious who my Genetics-Study Dr. will come up with if she is able to set up a consult. I will keep updates throughout this week. I am actually on the Harbor-UCLA campus but it is pretty awesome to!

Erica,
I read a bit on your homepage. You have a very complicated medical history. All your doctors are working together as a team. I have to disagree with the above post. If your doctor knows you and how your body has changed I would stay put. I stayed with the ped GP until I was 24 because of him knowing me and if something was wrong. The above post is correct about Adult and child hydro being a good bit different. If you have questions if your doctor understands aldult hydro ask something like I feel like I'm the oldest here do you treat any other adults. Most of your bio was way over my head but it was the best page I have ever seen.

Thank you Monica, I think there is a fair bit of concern that my NS might not be the best one to handle this - MPS pts and Hydro are very different than just Hydro and my Drs. are weighing hte options of having someone with experience with my disease do the surgery I think. My NS has not always been very attentive to problems I have had. But thank you.
