I dont' have a photo to share, but I can share the memory of her from long ago when I had a in home day care.
We got this cute goat from a neighbor and I bottle fed it from a babe.
I taught it to play in the pay room along with the children...I don't know who had more fun...the kids or Bambie!
I'd even load her up into my truck or motorhome taking her everywhere we went...she loved going places!
When parants came to pick up their children...Bambie would force herself into their car whenever they opened a door!
We had a brand new custome built home, had open house with our church family members.
Told everyone was going to just be casual.
We le[t Bambie in a fenced area out back...but sometimes she played Houdini and got out.
I was in the kitchen...heard a rucuos happening in the formal living room.
One of my guest came running in to the kitchen where I was dishing up o'desvours...he said "I know you said this party is casual,
but the goat sitting on your new couch is a bit much!"....then he laughed, said the goat is intertaining the crowd!
Bambe began getting peskier as the days passed...the moment the sun rose, she was like a rooster...
she'd climb on top of a dog house we had for the dog. She'd climb on there so could see into our bedroom and make the biggest and loudest "blllleeeeeep!"
I learned so much about goats then...I'll never forget! Each one has a dif personality.
She became way to pesky with always trying to come into our house, so we moved her to a farm out in the country...poor little Bambie!

aweeeee.

personally, i think goats are cute and they do have their individual personalities!

what ever happened to your pregnant donkey (was it a donkey??? i forget things sometimes :))? you had a contest to guess the date of her baby's birth. who won?

thanks for your cute animal stories. seems you are blessed with the room to have a lot of animals around you there in oregon. i could never have a goat here keeping my grass clipped in the city of detroit...lol :D...some silly ordinance or such.

take care of your brood:)

I have learned the hard way myself about cute wild animals, they just really don't belong in the house with us. We've tried it with a racoon and rabbits. But sooner or later, never mind I did get them trained to a litter box, their urine or something would end up being just too much!!! and they would have to move to another location. This was all way back when I was much younger mind you. I have had a chicken, a duck and a kitten and raccoon all chasing each other and wonder just who thought they were really the cat. I admit the chicken and duck stayed outside the most of the time.

I hope my grandkids never ask me to try and raise anything inside ever again like my kids have as it always ends up sad eventually. But oh do I ever have memories of when it was good.

Many thanks crytears for all the pictures you post. I say that is a large cat. It must be so gentle and patient to ride in that carryall. It is good that it does tho as I know you have a lot of coyotes. I'm not afraid of coyotes for myself or kids but they sure will snatch your animals in a jiffy if give half a chance.

One time I got a big rabbit @ a yard sale, this was many years ago when I had a laid back Persian cat. We kept the rabbit in the house, they chased each other but got along great. Had to litter box train the rabbit,Thumper. Well Thumper liked to chew my wicker furniture when I was @ work, then he got so big I could barely carry him,and those nails did scratch! When he began eating the sofa I gave him away........the cat lived to be 13 before being put down.

Oh that just reminds me, Buttons, we still have the same door facing one rabbit chewed on long ago. And he even chewed the soft part off the tv remote. Do rabbits ever like to chew. It is such a shame that they have such horrid smelling urine and bad chewing habits. They make lovely enough pets otherwise, even smart with litter pan training. But that chewing is not to be trusted for a minute.

Oh...I've got to get my pictures out to share for all.
Madi talked me into getting a bunny wabbit.
I've always wanted one of those giant rabbits...they weigh up to 25 lbs.
A gal at hospital had one...named him Maphebosheth...after the crippled boy in the old testament.
Maphebo was so laid back, sweet...she'd bring him to church for kids stories.
But the bunny I got for Madi was just a regular ol bunny...we called him bunn-bunns.
I allowed him to roam free in our kitchen and 2 dining rooms.
He intimidated Thistle our Scotty dog, and she'd run from him...was funny,
but both dogs, Satin and Thisy, never bothered him except to eat the carrots or treats I'd put out for him.
He litter trained in just hours...they always go in same place.

I got a huge hutch for him...and he needed to be outside at night...when he got busy, noisey playing with toys.
He had some special toys with bells, he'd toss it around like a kitten would play.
I'd put him in bed with me...he'd snuggled then nuzzled down in the sheets,
sometimes nip my legs for love bites...didn't break skin...but I didn't like that!
He'd nudge my hand for me to pet him...he loved ear rubs big time!

We covered every electrical plug, cords up with tape and wire protectors and used bitter apple stuff.
Then one day....we stopped at another feed store....
They had the cutest english lops...so that day we acquired "Eliza-bunny"!
She was a tiny ball of fuz, just way too cute!
Bunn bunns and her would scamper all over their part of the house,
chasing eachother, licking, growliing and nuzzling...so cute!
Liza Bunny always made these darling little deep growling noise...gaddrrrrrrrr!
Think was to warn Mr Bunns....NOT TONIGHT!

They weren't "mature" yet...so no huma-huma baby!:D
But Madi wanted to know what those huge cotton balls were
down below on Bunn-bunns! eeeek!...honey...those are just his cotton balls!:D
Eliza-bunny doesn't have any cuz she's a lady!

She'd also nuzzle my arm, sleep on my bed...but they both chewed my sheets!
But bunns would actually try and make a nest with them...
he'd tug and pull them this and that way for hours having fun...
they NEVER pee'd or nuggeted outside their piddle box....so that was good.

But...as most pets do...they grow up....kids loose interest
and I was worried about wintering them outside.
We insulated the cage, put plexiglass over the "windows" so could at least see out
and have "sunshine"...yeah right, in Oregon? Fat chance!

Anyway...it often gets down below zero and Madi went back to school and wasn't here as much.
A freind works for a rehab care center closer into town...
Filled with lots of sad and lonley patients, young people too.
She told me the patients would just adore having bunnies there.

So thats where Mrs Eliza Bunny and Bunn-Bunns both live these days...
But wait! The stories not over yet....

Eliza Bunny became very mature,...
Bunn-bunns asked her to marry him,
but we think she was PG by then...so was a shotgun wedding!

They had Carrot juice punch with sprigs of parsely and a fancy carrot cake too!....
They played bunny hop games, and chase the bunny tag all day!

Then one day....Eliza bunny dug under the building and she stayed deep down in her burrow...
No one could see her and she was sorely missed.
Their cage was outside, safely surrounded by 4 walls... an atrium outside.

Then one bright sunny day....to everyones surprise!
Elza bunny, Bunn-bunns and 4 little tiny bunnies showed up at the dinner tray!
These bunnies were the "talk of the town" and still are!

People get out of bed, walked the long halls,
just to go see the tiny fuzzy baby bunnies!
What a blessing they've been for all!
Blessings to you all too!, Cheryl
