An announcement was made yesterday that will impact the thousands of soldiers who have suffered brain injuries while fighting in Iraq.
NovaVision, Inc. has announced a deal with the Tampa VA Hospital to provide Vision Restoration Therapy (VRT) to soldiers with impaired vision due to a traumatic brain injury, the signature injury of the war in Iraq. VRT is an FDA-cleared rehabilitative therapy and is clinically proven to help brain injury and stroke survivors actually regain lost eyesight – all without the use of surgery or drugs.
By providing VRT, the VA is giving soldiers access to the highest quality care available for regaining lost vision – and ultimately, leading to restored independence.
