Hi everyone. Here it's almost 11:30 PM and I'm just letting my mind "float" in thought. I was sharing with an "earth person" (non-addicted;) ) that no matte how much negativity there is between my sister-in-law and me, the fact remains that my brother and she saved my life all those years ago. I was so far gone that I was unable to reach out for help. The help had to be rammed down my throat, and I had to be made aware of my powerlessness.
Thsi came up in our conversation as I was talking about writing a long letter of thank to my brother and his wife. More so to my brother as I want him to know how grateful I am and how much of a hero he has been to me. I want to do this while he still has his mind. The Huntington's has taken its toll on him physicalloy and it's only a matter before it destroys his mind.
Lee - Great to "hear" you. Yeah, I'm hanging in there. I have a lot of discomfort (read that PAIN) if I have to walk any distance. Thank God for the car and I can still afford the insurance. Here in NYC the rates ar over $2000 a year.
Steve - Hang in there, guy. That's all we can handle - One Day at a Time.
Bats - You too hang in there. Remember, each day we live sober/clean is a miracle.
Teddie - What can I say, sweet Teddie. It's good that we are back together on the forum.
Well, I don't have any real words of wisdom. Can only offer a simple slogan that can make living a little easier: K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid:D
Have a great Thursday,
Citoig
