The last two weeks I've been experiencing extreme leg pain mostly the right but sometimes both. I take carbido/levo 25/100 3 x d, Mirapex .25 mg 4 x d, Diovan 160 mg 1d, gabapentin 300mg 1d, Protonix 40 mg 1d, Clonazepam 1 mg daily. Meantime I've also been dx with RA and take Tramadol/Apap prn for pain. I know the pain can't be from the RA because my muscles, bones, nerves, every part of my leg hurts. There is no swelling or redness. My neurologist told me to increase my clonazepam by 1/2 tab more in the morning and 1/2 tab at night. Has anybody else experienced this? My tremors in my right leg and arm have also increased. I can hardly walk. I would appreciate any input as to what's causing this.

Several years ago, pre-PD, I had a similar-sounding pain in my leg - left leg only. It felt like my thighbone had turned to ice, and it was freezing the rest of my leg from the inside out. Dr's couldn't find anything. After six months, what finally cured it was spending a three day summer weekend on my uncle's back porch, slo-o-o-wly working on a bottle of 15 year old bottled-in-bond Wild Turkey. Never had the pain again. No good reason why it should have cured it, but it is a fact that I went from several hours per day, most days of the week, to zero, in one weekend.

Now, in the interests of public safety, I must encourage you not to try this except under close medical supervision, do not drive, etc. :)

Thanks for the information. I remember on my pre-PD nights when I had pain I used Brandy. It worked for a while. I might just try your Wild Turkey. That's a new one for me and since I don't drive too often anymore pedestrians and pets beware. Thanks for the input.
