Hi,
Here I am, asking for input again. I feel like I'm always taking from you guys and not giving much back. I'm still in a learning curve.
I've been on Lamictal for almost 4 weeks and I've only titrated up to 25 mg per day (meds and I do not mix well). I am dealing with daily headaches with a migraine about once per week. I feel flushed at times and just crummy. I'm also feeling apathetic (borderline depression). I was actually doing okay mood-wise before starting the Lamictal, but my pdoc thought I needed a buffer.
These symptoms definitely started with the lamictal. One reason I know is that when I took them every other day the first week, I had a headache and felt crummy every other day.
I know I'm on an extremely low dose, but these side effects are real and are making life difficult (I can't get to work before noon because of the headache).
Did any of you who are on Lamictal deal with these side effects at first and do they go away? I have a followup appt. on Monday and will talk to my pdoc about this, but if there's any encouragement to hang in there, I will. But honestly, I'm tempted to quit right now.
FYI, I also take Ambien CR pretty much nightly and I'm on hormone therapy which is finally adjusted right.
