Hi all~

I haven't posted here in a LONG time...mainly because I've been figuring out what else is wrong with me....and it looks like I have chronic viral infections going on too! :eek:

Through some miraculous circumstances, I met a man who had been treated at Stanford medical center. He suggested I get tested for viruses, and I did....

I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Montoya at Stanford Medical Center and just recently started Valcyte, a drug that fights HHV-6 and EBV infections.

I am guessing that the lyme suppressed the immune function enough in me to allow the viruses to grow! :rolleyes:

The symptoms for chronic lyme and chronic viral infections are the same...so it's hard to distinguish by symptoms.

G'day timaca,
By the time symptoms are displayed in Lyme - and many other illness, the cause has already done it's damage to the nervous system.
I've found through research, that many toxins - virus etc, cause similar - if not the same symptoms - so regardless of cause, the treatment I experimented with, may give better health to many.
My illness wasn't diagnosed - but I experimented and found a simple treatment which suppressed and eventually reversed most of my symptoms. I'm reasonably well most of the time and I guess I'll never know what really made me ill - but I now enjoy better health.
