Birthday Party Pics and Quick Surgery Update

Well, we had the boys' joint bday party last weekend and it was a hit! We rented a moonbounce shaped like a bulldozer, the kids were all able to swim, the weather was gorgeous, and the food was delicious! All in all, a great day!

Surgery is still scheduled for August 31, although Adam now has a cold. If Jake gets it and isn't clear before the surgery, we'll likely get delayed again. We're trying to keep him quarantined. Wish us luck. Now, on to the fun stuff - pictures!!

What wonderful fun uncles!

When I was getting married, my mother was very ill (she died 2 weeks after our wedding). My stepmother, who never had children of her own, was avery bit the mother of the bride. She planned and decorated and organized and asked my mama if her involvement bothered her. And now the reason for writing this...My mama told her no, the more people who love her daughter the better. So my point is, it really is great to have people love our children and play with them! All of us need it. Adam and Jake certainly look like they had an awesome party! I love the picture of Jake falling asleep in the highchair! You can tell he just had the best time and wore himself out!

Looks like the party was a blast. I love how close your family is. When ever I give parties for my boys hardly anyone shows. I love that birthday cake. My older boys, Nathan especially was totally into Thomas the train.

Glad the party turned out so well. I hope Jake stays healthy and the surgery stays on date.

We bought one of those bouncy tents from Costco. The kids love it. On the downside, only 4 can bounce at a time, and no adults (100 pounds per kid max).

Looks like a good time was had by all. I hope Jake stays healthy! Thanks for sharing the pictures. (I love the falling asleep shot.:p)

Don't be so jealous - it's not my pool :D The party was at my Aunt's house. She lives in a beautifully renovated house that is over 100 years old. They put in the pool and my kids love to swim so we take advantage (she only lives about 30 minutes away). I have been looking around at Ranchers in our area that have in-ground pools and would like to buy one in the next year or so. Jake is nuts over the water. It's really fun to watch! I do worry that it would be a hazard because Adam is such a dare devil, but I've been taking him to lessons at the Y and hopefully he'll be a pretty good swimmer.
