Would a pharmacy flag your file if you ask them to order a different generic percocet due to an adverse effect from a filler? Since using the oxycodone 10/650 of Watson, I have gotten what I believe is severe acid reflux. I have been having some nasty chest pain after taking it that I know is not cardiac/respiratory, since I actually went to the ER when it first happened. Although it doesn't feel like "normal" heartburn, antacids and food/milk help slightly, so acid reflux is the only thing that would make much sense. I am almost positive it is a filler, because I have never has any problems with that dose of opiate or tylenol. I just don't want the pharmacy to think I am engaging in some sort of abherent behavior. However, it feels like I am ingesting battery acid, so I do not want to cont. to take it. I appreciate any input

Kurt, I know in my case that CVS doesn't flag me for asking for a different generic brand.

Legally there should be no reason for a Pharmacist to view your request as "strange"... BUT ... sometimes a particular Pharmacist's personal beliefs causes them to do some pretty peculiar things.

Thank you pharm steve and mark very much!
I've never had a problem with a filler before in my life, and I have taken a lot of different meds for various conditions. This has helped me to realize just how dramatic of a difference a filler can truely make.
